Bio

"Being raised in a preachers home, my life was centered around church, camp meetings, revivals, and singings. I sang my first song in church at the age of three and that’s all I’ve ever known to do.”

I studied music and communications at East Tennessee State University and music performance at The Steve Hurst School of Music in Nashville. I sang with my family as a child, and with local groups (The Miracles & Greater Heights) during my college years.

I sang for twelve years with The Wilburns and The Perrys, two well-known family ministries and was blessed to be featured on such songs as “We Have A Hope,” and “Out Of The Dust,” with The Wilburns and “Rest My Case At The Cross,” “Calvary Answers For Me”, “I Wish I Could Have Been There,” “Damascus Road,” and “He Will Hide Me” with The Perrys.

Accolades include Mixed Group Of The Year with The Perrys and countless nominations for lead and baritone of the year as well as having appeared on several Gaither Homecoming Videos.

I left the road to join the Valley Forge Church Staff in Elizabethton, TN in August 2006 as Church Worship Leader/Choir Director/Administrator and sang with Ricky Atkinson & Compassion a few concerts a year while on staff at my church.

I then joined the Kingdom Heirs of Dollywood where I sang from September, 2016 to September 2023 and was featured on such songs as “Never Made A Promise,” “Never Changing God,” and “I’ll Never Get Over The Blood That I’m Under.”

I am currently with Appalachian Radio Group and 107.9 The Bridge (WBEJ) in Elizabethton, TN.

I started my solo ministry in 2024.

My wife Cindy and I have been married for 29 years and have two children, son Cameron, and daughter Kenidy, along with two grandsons Asher and Axel, and we reside in Elizabethton. My parents are the Rev. Donnie and Sandra Harris of Elizabethton. We attend and are members of the Valley Forge FWB Church.

More than my history in gospel music or any accolades that the Lord has blessed me with, my main goal is to lead people to worship in song, sing of a Savior who gives redemption, faith, hope, and love and draw people closer to Him. I’ve said many times that unless my ministry of music is anointed and pleasing to Christ, it’s nothing but noise.
